| The Streator Investigation |
| INVESTIGATIONS |
On April 11, 2007 we did an investigation for a new member
Jason. A house he had previously lived in. The house has
been in the family for a number of years. He had conveyed to
house. He had heard her say "Daddy" and when he turned
she was standing in the doorway. His wife had seen her many
times peering through the staircase. She had also saw an
apparition of an older lady coming from her closet which had
previously been an open doorway. Jason says that there has
always been a feeling of presence in the house. He
commented that when he was remodeling the house he felt as
if there was someone in complete disaproval of what he was
doing. He even remarked aloud to it, saying "You'll like it when
it is finished."
We went in and set up video and audio recorders and went
about checking for any sign of what might appear to be out of
the ordinary. The investigation was a little more on the casual
side because it was the first time with the new group together.
Part of our group was upstairs and the other part was in the
back of the downstairs. I (Debbie Lasiter- Morris) was taking
short video clips with my Camera. Alone in the living room by
the staircase is where I concentrated my time because it was a
place that Jason had said the "ghost" was seen most
frequently. There was a definite cold spot that had temp
ranges from 52 degrees to 72 degrees on the bottom stairway.
There were no draft areas in the room and it is away from
windows, doors and registers as well as cold air return ducts.
The cold spot appeared to move. I had an almost swirling type
sensation of cold when I sat on the steps in the area of the
cold spot, at one point it felt as if it was sitting on my lap.
Jason sat in my place and he reported the same type of feeling.
Jason and Al both walked into the living room and immediately
the hair stood up on their arms. It was not quite like static
electricity it was as they said, "Like a warm presence moving
over them." Steph reported that she felt as if someone
brushed up against her in the dining room, this is the room
where Jason says he first saw the semi transparent little girl.
While we were all upstairs a motion detector which was on the
counter downstairs alarmed and the really odd thing about this
is that there were no batteries in the detector.
We took dozens of photos and we have not yet been over the
35mm ones. We are still going over evidence we collected
from the house. At this point we have not had any still
captures of anything. I as I said concentrated my efforts doing
short video clips. I was alone in the living room when this was
done. You will see that there is a shadow type figure that
passes in front of me while I was doing the video clip. It goes
across the banister quickly and then disappears. We believe
this to be Jason's ghost.
We do have plans to further the investigation. We will update
as we uncover more evidence.
