INVESTIGATIONS
Recently our Group relocated to Indiana and almost directly after
making our move we were contacted by a family about a possible
Haunting,  in their home.  Although they have agreed to let us publish
the findings in their home and any pictures or video,  they have asked
that their names be with held for privacy sake.  So throughout this
account we will refer to them as the "Smith" family.

The house is located in Bargersville,  Indiana which is a small town to
the south of Indianapolis.  Very quaint and friendly.  Although we have
been working this case since September we have only now decided
that yes the activity in their home appears to be paranormal.  Please
understand though that due to their "strong" insistence of privacy that
we have had to carry out this investigation in a very casual and
informal method.  Thus we have had to appear as visiting friends most
of the time.

In September when we visited the home for the first time we did a walk
through of the house.  Although the house appeared very normal and
without activity we were told that they had experienced several strange
happenings periodically in the home.  The weather was very warm and
they had the a/c running and the house was very cool and
comfortable.  However they took us into a room that was extremely hot
as if there was no a/c at all.  The majority of the house registered at 68
degrees however this particular room was above 80.  Al and Nini went
to work checking out the air vents and windows.  There were all new
windows and the air coming from the vents was as cold as ice.  They
also had a window a/c running in the room as well as the central air
and the room was still above 80.  This is also a room which they told us
that on several occasions one family member or another swore they
saw someone entering or leaving the room.  (Much later in the
investigation we also witnessed an apparition in the hallway outside the
door of this room)

They had told us about an incident of black sludge that was coming up
in the bathroom sink.  We of course urged them to get a plumber,
even though they insisted that they were not having problems with
their plumbing.  They did this and a plumber found nothing.  This
problem continues on for them.  For no reason a black sludge comes
up in the sink and then disappears as quickly as it appeared.  Leaving
behind what looks like sand or dirt.  On one occasion we witnessed the
sludge and Al took a snake to the drain.  It went through like a knife in
butter.  No gurgling and no blockage was found.  It stood in the sink for
several hours and then just drained.

In October during a visit to the house,  Mrs Smith took her children to
the living room as we went to the back of the house.  We heard her yell
out,  OMG and we all ran to the living room.  She said they had sat
down to watch the TV and the overhead light in the living room came
on by itself.  She got up to turn it off but the switch was in the off
position.  She said as she turned to go back to the kids the light went
off by itself.  We of course checked for loose light bulbs  in the fixture
and all was secure.  We turned the light off and on several times and
sat with her in the living room and it didn't happen again.  Very shortly
after this incident however we were called to their home because they
had a disconnected emergency alarm that was going off and they
couldn't stop it.  It was sounding off loudly throughout the house.  We
checked the main box and it had the wires completely off of it.  The
breaker for the main box which controlled the alarm was turned off.
Yet the alarm continued to go off.  We went through checking for a
battery back up and found nothing.  However as with the "sink"
situation it just stopped suddenly.  We urged them to have an
electrician come out and check the wiring for any damage.  They
complied with this and the electrician as with the plumber found
everything to be fine.

Now before I go any further I should tell you that the house is only
about 40 years old and was just recently remodeled.   So I am not
talking about a home with a lot of pre-history or structural problems.
The Smiths are not the original owners of the house and are now in
the process of doing some background research of the dwelling.  They
are also new to the Bargersville area,  hence their reasoning for
privacy in this matter. They have had a number of complaints and a lot
of these as we have been witnesses to.

In November we were called to their home to see a room which had
water pouring down the interior walls for no apparent reason.  Al was
sure it was a plumbing problem or a leaky roof.  However it was bone
dry outside and after checking the attic he found that there was no
plumbing in the ceiling area or holes in the roof, the attic was dry.  As a
matter of fact the plumbing doesn't even carry that far back into the
house at all.  We checked the brick on the outside of the house and
the mortar was not cracked or coming away from the house anywhere.
Al even went up on top of the roof to look for any areas which might be
leaking and there was nothing.  We checked the adjoining two rooms
and found not even a drop of condensation in either of the other two
rooms.  This happening occurred on the 5th of November and has not
reoccurred since.

They have had several floodings in the house without water leaks or
over flowing toilets.  The water just seems to appear.

On one occasion when we were there the exhaust fan over the stove
came on by itself.  As with the living room light the button was in the off
position and it ran like it had been turned on and then just went off by
itself.

In the first week of December we dropped by to see how they were
doing,  since it had been a couple of weeks and there had been no
calls from them.  We just did a general walk through of the house.  As
we got to the door of their family room there was a horrible odor.  It
seemed to linger in that area.  It was such a stench that the home
owners became very nauseated.  Al went into the crawl space trying to
find the odor and none was found there.  We checked the furnace
room and the laundry area and It seemed to only be in and around the
doorway.  It remained for about 15 or 20 minutes and then just
dissipated like it had never been.  There was absolutely nothing in that
area of the house that could have caused the odor.  This is in the
same area as the room which remains so hot.  As we said we also saw
what could be explained as a shadow figure passing through the
doorway and hall from this room.

Just recently we were at the Smiths home and the doorbell rang.
There was no one at the door.  This occurred three times and then just
stopped.  Now with this you are probably thinking that someone rang
and ran, and under normal circumstances I would assume the same.
However Bargersville is a rural type communities and there are not that
many youngsters around to play such tricks.  Or adults for that matter.
We even tried to debunk it with the wind possibly causing the ringing.
We tried blowing on the switch and using a blow dryer and even a fan.
This did not cause the doorbell to ring.

After three and a half months the Smiths have agreed to let us set up
for EVP and Video.  We have several photos we are going through at
this time and will post as we find evidence.  With our move things such
as photo proofing have been delayed but we now can move forward
into a little more of this.

Please be sure and check back for updates on this haunting.  We are
very excited about the possibilities of EVP and Video because we
believe this ghost wants to be heard and seen.  We also will post any
history findings about the house which may explain this as well.
