| Our First Indiana Investigation Continued... 9.2007 to Current Bargersville |
On Christmas Eve "2007" we received a call from the Smiths that
not only them but some visiting guests witnessed a disappearing
figure in the hallway at the back of the house. That they had also
heard knocking at the door which separates the kitchen from the
back of the house and there was no one there. We tried to
assure them that all was fine and that we would be by after the
holidays to set up video equipment in that area of the house.
They agreed and we felt assured that all would be fine until after
the first of the year. However on Christmas day we received
another call from them and they reported that Mrs. Smiths mother
who was visiting for the Christmas Holiday had left because she
saw a man standing in the doorway of her room and he could not
be found in the house. So we made plans with them to come to
their house on Christmas night to just do a walk through and take
some pictures.
We got to their home about 8:30pm and all seemed quiet. We
took a few random photos as we walked through the house and
since the children were not there we tried speaking to who ever
this spirit may be. During the time we were there the thermostat
for the furnace was turned up and down several times, when no
one was near to it. (They told us they would wake several times
during the nights to freezing temperatures in the house and the
furnace would be off.) In the kitchen a rancid odor was present
and then faded away as we searched for its source. In the back
of the house we went first to the guest room. This is where the
figure of the man was seen by Mrs. Smiths mother. We spoke
aloud to this spirit with the recorder on, asking if he were still there
and what he wanted. Mrs. Smith stared behind me and as I
turned I saw what appeared to be a fading figure leaning against
the doorway. She was adamant with her questions of "Did I See
It?" and yes I did. It did not appear to have a solid form but there
was definitely something there. As we stood talking the door bell
rang. Three rings and then stopped. Al and Mr Smith went to see
who was at the door. The bell rang again. Three more rings. Al
and Mr Smith returned saying that there was no one there.
So far we have not found anything in the photos and we are still
going over the audio recordings. They have been researching
the History of the house but have not found much. We will be
setting up Video Recorders in the house during the first week of
January. Hopefully we will have something visual to examine.
As we have told them we do not feel that this/the spirit(s) mean
them any harm and they say that they feel safe in the house. So
until we do the video and more audio this is where we are with
this. I personally am very excited about this and can hardly wait to
get a more thorough look at this house.
