The Most Haunted City In England... York
Haunted England
Micklegate Bar Museum

This museum is currently home to the ghostly Sarah,  who as a
young girl lost her father's keys to the city.  She dedicated the rest
of her life to finding them, and once she had found them it is said
she immediately  dropped dead of old age.  It is reported that her
shadow wanders the corridors in victory,  rattling the found keys.
41 Stonegate

Tragically a six year old Victorian girl  fell to her death on the
staircase of this building and now it appears she haunts this place.
Her footsteps have been heard walking the stairs, and she has
also been seen sitting on the shop counter.
5 College Street

A ghostly child haunts the upstairs of this building.  She died of
starvation after both her parents died of the plague.  Her ghost
has been seen and heard by many.
Bedern Arch

The story goes that several orphans died in the nearby
Industrial Ragged School during the 1800's, due to the
negligence of the alcoholic schoolmaster.  On cold nights,
people have reported walking by the arch only to feel a small
child take them by the hand.  The giggling and horrible
screaming of a child or children has also been reported to have
been heard,  in this same area.
Clifford Tower

Many Jews committed suicide in the tower rather than surrender
to the rioting anti-Semitic mobs tearing up the town. The ground
of the tower is said to be stained red with their blood,  and
remains red even after being dug up and replaced.
