| CURRENT INVESTIGATIONS |
In August of "2007" I moved back to Indiana from Illinois to care
pulmonary problems. They had been in a nursing home and my
hopes were to bring them to Illinois but that was not such an easy
goal to work for. They both needed particular care and the home
that could provide it had a waiting list. So after less then a year it
was inevitable that I come back to care for them.
My Dad had not been able to speak for almost 4 years with any
audible understanding and he was partly paralyzed by the
disease. He in effect was a total care patient. Although I was well
trained it was quite a difficult task, but together with Al and my
daughter we took care of him.
On a number of occasions in the middle of the night I would wake
up feeling as if there was someone in the room standing above
me just looking at me. On one of these nights I fully expected to
open my eyes and see my Dad standing there. I jumped out of
my bed and went into their room and he was sound asleep and in
his hospital bed with rails up. The thing was I could smell his
cologne in my room and my dogs were also aware of something.
I kind of chuckled to myself dismissing it as stress and being so
over tired. After all he couldn't walk. I believe my Dad was having
out of body experiences and that he was watching over me. So I
have been searching answers in this.
My Dad began failing in his health and he slept so much more
after that. He wouldn't eat much and his smile was fading. One
evening after caring for him and he had gone back to sleep, I
took this time to work on my Graphics website. It was very quiet in
the house. Since my Dad was bedfast we had bought him things
to keep him busy with his hands. One of his favorite things was a
laughing Elmo. You had to shake it to make it work. No electricity
or batteries just a little enclosed case inside it that made noise
when you shook it. Sitting at my desk I heard the Elmo make the
crazy little laughing sound. I smiled thinking he must be awake
and feeling better. So I got up and went to see about him. When
I rounded the corner I could see plainly that he was sleeping...
and the Elmo was not in his bed with him. I actually spoke allowed
and said "Okay!"
As I walked over to my Dads Bed I kind of laughed and said "Is
Kyle here with you today Dad? Hey Kyle if that was you playing
with the Elmo... Do it again!" Well it laughed again. It didn't move
but plain as anything it made that crazy Elmo voice! We tried to
bump the chest where the Elmo was laying and even shook it and
the Elmo never made another sound until we shook it. Kyle by the
way is my son who passed away in January of 2006. Do I believe
that he was there with his Grandpa... Yes I do. Do I believe that
Kyle made the Elmo make noise... Yes I do! I believe he wanted
me to know he was waiting on the other side for his Grandpa. In
the days that passed after that my Dad worsened and he did
things like holding his arms up in an embracing manner as if he
had his arms around someone big and tall. Kyle was 6'3 and
weighed over 200 pounds. At one point my Dad held his arm up
and moved his hand as if he were stroking someone. I took tons
of pictures and in one of them there is a vague reflection in the
mirror that looks like someone kneeling at my Dad's bedside.
My Dad was hospitalized and died on April 9th, 2008. A month
after these things began happening. Al spent time at his bedside
through the night and he did recordings in case there was
something my Dad had to say before leaving his body! He got 2
EVP's... One of them appears to be saying, "Would she?" and
the other is a child's voice and it sounds as if it saying a name,
"Jessie or Debbie!" A bit of Hospital Biography FYI... the portion
of the hospital my Dad was in was used for a Pediatric ICU for a
time. This voice was a complete surprise to us!
The thing is... if we believe in the Paranormal, and I do... We
know that life gos on in another plain of existence. So I feel it
only right to share my personal story with you.
