| Round Hill Cemetery Indianapolis, Indiana |

 |
Just to the south of downtown Indianapolis, Indiana is a small, still
used cemetery with some "History" The Founder of MGHAPI has
spent several hours walking it's perimeters and in doing so he
also became friends with the caretakers brother. They both live in
a house with their families, on the West side of the cemetery.
Their mother who was a Genealogist, spent time researching and
documenting the history and the burials in the cemetery. She
spent many hours doing this. Their mother and father also had
occupied the same dwelling.
The history of the cemetery began in the early 1800's before it
ever became an actual formal place of burial. It seems that the
area of Round Hill Cemetery was a popular place for squatters
that were crossing through the state to bury their dead. On the
north side of the cemetery just over a large hill sits the location of
several unmarked graves. To some it seems like a mass grave.
During that era, there were also certain areas used for Indian
Burial. It is documented that the drummer boy for President
Washington was buried within the perimeters of Round Hill.
Another documentation was that people also used the cemetery
for the burial of their beloved pets before it became an actual
formal place of burial.
Just prior to 1870 the cemetery became acknowledged and the
unauthorized burials were stopped. It though had already gained
the reputation of being a place for paupers graves.
However after the Cemetery became acknowledged, it was told
that there was a horrible fire in Indianapolis which took several
lives, most of which were children. It became a place of burial for
some of the children who died in the fire and because the families
could not afford stones, their graves are unmarked and only
documented on paper. However the location of these graves is
still unknown. We are still researching the origin of the fire and
will publish our findings when they become available.
It is now said that the cemetery is haunted and there have been
reports of unexplained happenings within it's perimeters. Most
recently have been reports of children playing and laughing in the
cemetery after dark. The area around the cemetery is now
occupied by adults mostly and the police have been called out on
several occasions to run these children off the cemetery grounds.
To date the officers have not found even one child on the
grounds.
The sound of a drummer, beating on his drum is said to be heard
nightly. Without prompting one of the locals told the Founder
about this. She works at a small store close to cemetery and said
she hears it almost every night when she is leaving work. The
police officers who came out on some of the "Reports of Children
in the Cemetery" reported to our Founder that he has heard the
drum as well. I myself have heard the drum and assumed that it
was from one of the schools. We investigated this and found that
there were no schools close by with a marching band or who
practiced at 10:00 at night.
Reports of animal shadows rushing past people have been
reported. We could not actually say this was paranormal because
the grounds are open and the area is Rural even though it is so
close to the City. So these could be actual animals.
Another report was of a woman walking through the cemetery at
dusk. Her body being misty and translucent. The caretaker and
his brother feel it is their mother, however the report the
Founder got from a couple visiting the cemetery was that she
appeared to be dressed in 18th century attire. Our hopes are to
be able to investigate this further.
Several photos have been taken and interviews done with the
caretaker and his family as well as several locals. On one
occasion up by the hill the founder was taking photos and the
temperature dropped from 85 degrees to about 70. His EMF
Detector (K2 Meter) was flashing like crazy. When he looked at
the photos later his time stamp and documentation of the temp
change and EMF Detector reaction were the same. Also there
are what appears to be tiny lights in the picture... Keep in mind
that there are no lights in the direction of the hill and it is a
wooded area directly behind it. We also see what might be the
formation of a face and body within the mist. Photo was taken in

Several EVP Sweeps were done but so far we have nothing yet to
report. However we have gained permission for an overnight
